June Reflections

In the month of June, I learnt:

(1) How to play Texas Hold'em.
(2) That I can have a nasty temper.
(3) That I hate studying.
(4) That I have short-term memory, hence everything I studied abt Ionic Eqm in the 1st week of June has been evidently forgotten. -.-
(5) That my parents can forget my birthday. ):
(6) That I never want to touch another studying text again after I leave uni.
(7) How to Chill 101 from Bryan Yeo. :D (At least now I'm more balanced!)
(8) That wasted time can accumulate to more than three quarters of your holidays.
(9) That one can study alot within 2 hours.
(10) That TV is enjoyable.

I don't know whether to be happy or sad (im sad cause i cant sleep till 2pm anymore!!!)
But this has been an awesome June holiday (besides the fact MJ died. BOO) and it went past so fast :/

Discriminate against PIGS!

I must really, REALLY learn to SIT DOWN and STUDY.
Do not:
- Switch the tv on.
- Complain about the weather.
- Think of random things (like:"What is softer than a sponge?" and laugh to myself).
- Switch the computer on (after reasoning with myself it's for the music, and end up on facebook)
- Message Bryan. It's a never-ending curse.
- Go on MSN. DONNNNNTTT.
- Think of going on Perezhilton. That website is addictive.

Shucks, im so dead tired.

This morning, Sihui, me, Bryan, Daryl, Stella, Linkai and Chia Hong went to East Coast to rollerblade! (:
We were supposed to meet at 9am, and being the punctual me, i was there at 9am.
Not surprisingly, Sihui reached only at 10.30am. :X
After Ya Kun and doing random things, we went off to ECP and rented skates.

Daryl honestly has some thrill issues. HAHAA. And he is the epitome of PERSERVERANCE.
Sihui has only one direction - Straight. So when she is going to bang into ppl, ppl must move away.
Oh yah, and she cant turn herself back en route and keeps hugging trees planted at the side of the pavement, which according to her, are meant for her purpose. :D
We skated past a dead decomposing frog, high high slopes (WHEEEEEE) and we witnessed Daryl fall, stand up, fall, stand up, fall. :DDDD

After that, we scavanged for food at parkway and went off to Chia Hong's house to lepak(?).
Saw awesome magic tricks online and super funny videos too.

I'm so amazed by magic tricks.
Even that rubber band trick is sssoooo keewwwll. (:
THEN THEN THEN! I wanna know how you all know which card i chose with my eyesssss. HOWWWW?!!

Hmm. (Unimportant) things to ponder.
It's time to practise my rubber band trick now. Hehe.

A Quote-Filled Week

I haven't been doing much this week except studying.
So yea, life sucks that way :/

Nonetheless, today's BS was awesome.
Pastor Kong was sharing with us his personal experiences,
And though i was SHOCKED, but i admit that it's great to know that your pastor isn't some ultrasuperhuman who can never sin. (:
But it's even greater to know that he managed to overcome the POWER of sin through the almighty grace of God. Amen :D

18th Birthday celebration lunch
with the SUPERGIRLS@WARAKU :D

With all the shit that's been happening in the past few days,
It's always comforting to have friends to confide in, to laugh with, to show you that love does not only come from one man alone, but from God, from family, and from the people all around you.

Despite the setbacks and the pain that's been going on the past few days,
It's always great to know that God is really working miracles and wonders in my life.
Just like Rev Mary-Alice said: "Things will start to change once you REALLY BELIEVE that when you pray, something is definitely moving in the spiritual realm."

Today i got great news from my daddy/mummy.
Just one thing that God has immediately done for me - bless my home and those who build it.
That regardless how bad things are, God will manifest Himself strongly in my life and in my home if i intercede and stand in the gap for my family.

Right now, there're just many many other things for me to pray for during Prayer Meeting tmr.
Burdens to be lifted off, and new burdens to pressed into me.
Like what Wong always says,"GOD! GIVE ME A NEW TRIAL/TRIBULATION!" :D
Now, i just pray for myself to be stretched beyond my capacity.

Last night was heartbreaking.
When you said, "... I think so."
I've been trying to forget abt everything today.
But i really cant. I really cant forget that one sentence you said last night.

All you did was see her once - and that was it.
If it brings back a flood of memories, what do you think it brings back for me?

Right now im just not sure.

Your friend told me to look at the positive - try to find that silver lining.
Honestly, i just cant find that ONE little tinge of hope now.
The past two and a half years have been great,
But there's no use hanging on to the past if there's no future.

I CAN. I WILL.

This week has been great (in a non-academic way).
Having extra school lessons, celebrating my birthday and having Famine Camp were enough to drain my whole week away without much self-study :/
The worse thing is - THE 1ST WEEK OF JUNE IS OVER! OMG.
I've never seen time fly past so fast (unless it were the December holidays, then it ALWAYS does).

Right now all that's in my head is hitting the books that i think im getting pre-study syndrome.
Like, you havent even started studying and you're stressing up.
Kinda weird, but yea, im not even bothered to care abt other things right now.
But thank God, prayer meeting is next week and im going for every single day, and that's what's making my life awesome :D
I'm gonna start my entire week with prayer meetings, and i really cant wait (:

Best of all, i dont have to care abt you.

WOW.

QT was so good today. Really, i literally drowned in His Love.
I sat on the floor and leaned on the wall, smiling ear to ear like a fool fresh in love. :D

I read these verses from Proverbs today:

The lazy man will not plow because of winter;
He will beg during harvest and have nothing.
Proverbs 20:4

Do not love sleep, lest you come to poverty;
Open your eyes, and you will be satisfied with bread.
Proverbs 20:13

It was weird, cause both verses just struck me out of nowhere.
Nonetheless, thank God for such a reminder to me to keep vigilant, lest i fall asleep (during lectures and tutorials. HEEE :D).
And of course, besides academics, there's always the call to keep watch for God and His Word, every day in my life (:
Just as Wong said: Even when you observe the things around you, God's Hand can be seen.

Yay, i'm finally 18 :D

I really wanna thank those who made my 18th birthday such a memorable one.
Those who sent me smses, and those who wished me Happy Birthday in Facebook and in school :D
To the administration who made me spend 4 hours in school. Uggh.
Wong, Sihui and Kaiqi for bringing me to Waraku to eat AALLL that scrumptious food and for giving me those beautiful presents (: YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!
